چکیده
This paper studies interfacial mechanical behavior of laminate beams, consisting of two piezoelectric facial sheets and an elastic core. The study is based on coupled multi-filed finite element formulation. The emphasis is placed on mechanical and electric behavior of interfaces between piezoelectric material and elastic material, including effect of geometrical parameters, stress distribution and stress concentration near free edge of the beam subjected to coupling electric and mechanical loads. In particular, various parametric effect of laminate beam is explored and some conclusions are presented which may be useful for designing laminate beam and minimizing stress concentration at the free edges of the beam. 2006 Elsevier Ltd. Nonlocal Buckling and Vibration Analysis of Triple-Walled ZnO Piezoelectric Timoshenko Nano-beam Subjected to Magneto-Electro-Thermo-Mechanical Loadings
In this study, using the non-local elasticity theory, the buckling and vibration analysis of triple- walled ZnO piezoelectric Timoshenko beam on elastic Pasternak foundation is analytically investigated under magneto-electro-thermo-mechanical loadings. Electro-magneto-thermo-elastic response of a thick double-layered cylinder made from a homogeneous interlayer and a functionally graded piezoelectric material (FGPM) outer layer is investigated. Material properties of the FGPM layer vary along radius based on the power law distribution. The vessel is subjected to an internal pressure, an induced electric potential, a uniform magnetic field and ...
متن کاملFree Vibrations of Continuous Grading Fiber Orientation Beams on Variable Elastic Foundations
Free vibration characteristics of continuous grading fiber orientation (CGFO) beams resting on variable Winkler and two-parameter elastic foundations have been studied. The beam is under different boundary conditions and assumed to have arbitrary variations of fiber orientation in the thickness direction. The governing differential equations for beam vibration are being solved using Generalized...

This paper studies dynamic stability of functionally graded beams with piezoelectric layers subjected to periodic axial compressive load that is simply supported at both ends lies on a continuous elastic foundation. The Young’s modulus of beam is assumed to be graded continuously across the beam thickness. Applying the Hamilton’s principle, the governing dynamic equation is established. The eff...
